The ongoing pandemic taught us many lessons, but the most important takeaway was the lesson of self-reliance. Our honourable Prime Minister coined the term ‘Aatma-Nirbhar’, which means Self-reliance.
Keeping the light and guidance of the same, SGCCI conducted an exhibition with the purpose to help and encourage women of society. The exhibition was conducted in the Katargam area of Surat city.
The Aatma Nirbhar Abhiyaan exhibition provided free of cost stalls to 151 women entrepreneurs to showcase their products. President of the chamber, respected Mr Dinesh Navadiya expressed his thoughts on how the lockdown period affected small businesses of women entrepreneurs. This exhibition was arranged to give a necessary boost and also encourage other women entrepreneurs.
Women entrepreneurs showcased their skills and ability in this exhibition by putting forth unique products. One can spot oxidize jewellery, unique handicraft products, textile, embroidered bags, and purses in the exhibition.
The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry made all possible efforts to truly impart the sense of Aatma-Nirbharta in women entrepreneurs.
The president of the chamber also appreciated the efforts of all the women who stood firm throughout the pandemic to provide the best for their family during the tough times when Covid-19 struck the entire world.
